Shama Mohamed Alsuwaidi is an Emirati multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Abu Dhabi. Her practice explores the subconscious mind and dream states through research, written reflections, and the ongoing documentation of dreams. Working across painting and sculpture, she investigates how lived experiences, geographical environments, and cultural contexts shape the images, symbols, and narratives that emerge from the subconscious. Drawing on mythology, religion, and material exploration, her work considers the relationship between personal symbolism and collective belief systems, translating intangible experiences into physical forms.
